On October 2, 2025, Mr. Nguyen Le Chon Tam – General Director of Saigon Port Joint Stock Company (Saigon Port), together with the Board of Directors, visited and worked with several important Joint Venture Terminals in the Cai Mep – Thi Vai area, including SSIT (SP – SSA International Terminal Co., Ltd.), CMIT (Cai Mep International Terminal Co., Ltd.) and SP-PSA (SP-PSA International Port Co., Ltd.).

The working trip aimed to gain comprehensive insights into the operational situation and business activities of the Joint Venture Terminals over the first nine months of 2025. It also provided an opportunity for discussions with the management teams to review key achievements and evaluate ongoing challenges.
During the working sessions, Mr. Nguyen Le Chon Tam reviewed detailed reports on cargo throughput, operational efficiency, cost management and initiatives to optimize competitive capacity. He highly commended the efforts and positive business results achieved by the Joint Venture Terminals, which have significantly contributed to the overall development of Saigon Port, the Vietnam Maritime Corporation (VIMC) and the Vietnamese maritime industry as a whole.

In particular, General Director and the Board of Directors focused their discussions on the operational plan for the final quarter of 2025. The parties reached a consensus on a set of key strategic measures aimed at ensuring absolute safety in port operations, enhancing cargo handling efficiency and customer service quality, while also accelerating optimization initiatives to surpass the business targets established for the year.

This annual working visit demonstrates the deep attention and strong commitment of Saigon Port’s Leadership to maintaining close cooperation and strengthening partnerships with its Joint Venture Companies. It also serves as a powerful source of motivation and encouragement, inspiring the three terminals to reach new heights of success and make greater contributions to the continued growth of Vietnam’s maritime industry.
