HCMC – The Ministry of Transport has added three new inland container depots (ICDs) to Vietnam’s master plan on inland port systems, bringing the total number of ICDs in the country to 14.

The revised master plan includes three new ICDs: Thanh Phuoc, Nam Dinh Vu (Phase 1), and Phu Mu (Phase 1).

Among these, Thanh Phuoc ICD, located in Tan Luong Quarter, Thanh Phuoc Ward, Tan Uyen City, Binh Duong Province, serves as a crucial gateway connecting Binh Duong with other provinces nationwide, facilitating trade and reducing costs for businesses.

Covering 37.8 hectares within Phu My 3 Industrial Park, Phu My Town, Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province, Phu My ICD (Phase 1) is poised to enhance connectivity between waterway systems, seaports, other ICDs in the region, production material supply areas, distribution networks nationwide, and the Phu My 3 Industrial Park.

Meanwhile, Nam Dinh Vu (Phase 1), located in the Dinh Vu-Cat Hai Economic Zone in Haiphong City, is anticipated to establish connections with industrial parks, logistics centers, Lach Huyen International Port, and other seaports in Haiphong. This connectivity is expected to streamline cargo transportation domestically and internationally to various provinces and cities.
